Ouroboros
This show followed the circular nature of the ouroboros and the seasons, specifically the zodiac signs. It started backwards from Pisces all the way to Aries and was structured in a way that each sign had a section. The first section had one person and was one minute long, the second section had two people, two minutes, etc. I was in 7 sections, 4,5,7,8,10,11, and 12. Section four was Sagittarius and I played the role of an archer where I was given improvised tasks to fulfil. In section 5 I was a cheater making out with a girlfriend and dancing with a boyfriend, who were also both cheating on me. It was a highly intimate scene set at a club to fulfill Scorpio's vibes. Scene 7 was a durational piece that pointed towards fast fashion and labour issues. I took place in a folding machine that got faster and more intense as the piece progressed. For Leo, scene 8, we did an archival piece and reenacted Simone Forti's "Huddle." Gemini was scene 10 and I was the twin/the arms of a painter and we were in a competition to recreate different iconic paintings with our own flair. Scene 11 was a sound bath from a lullaby in Tagalog. It moved into whispers calling out for some deity to solve our problems and we split off when one non-believer spoke her feelings and left. This transitions into scene 12 where the deity, Pisces comes to try to hold all of the other signs issues resulting in a crawl looking for a new diety to help us. Enter Aries, mad that we did not start the show with him. I was recreating scene 10, Gemini, and Aries told us to do the show again. We recreate our scenes like the show was shaken up in a jar. Finally ending the show with how we started, Pisces singing her beautiful song.
